Pad Thai Too is a family-run establishment. The restaurant started off in 1999 as a hole in the wall on College Ave. in Waterville. We expanded to the KMD location in 2004. The owners are the cooks, so we truly care about what leaves our kitchen.
We are a “No Ketchup in our Pad Thai” restaurant. Our goal is to provide delicious, fresh, made-to-order Thai food using the ingredients available in Central Maine without compromising the integrity of Thai cuisine. We aim to share with our customers the delicious flavors of Thai cuisine as close to authentic as possible.
We care about our customers. We prepare our food as if we are cooking for our own family. We use a soybean/vegetable oil that is trans fat free and we absolutely add NO MSG to our dishes. Each dish is carefully prepared to order. No vats to scoop out of here.
We have always catered to the vegan/vegetarian crowd, so we do not use any fish sauce in our dishes and have chosen to use a light soy sauce instead. The light soy sauce is a wonderful substitute for fish sauce since it keeps the flavor fairly spot on to fish sauce without the smell, and herbivores and omnivores alike can enjoy it.We also use no dairy in our curries, only 100% coconut milk.
This is the first time I’ve ready your story, but I already knew you care about the food you prepare. I have ordered many dishes on your menu and I have always been pleased. In fact, pleased probably isn’t strong enough of a word. Delighted is more like it! I live in Bangor, but I always try to stop by your restaurant when I’m in or driving through Waterville. The new site looks amazing. I have been ordering from your fine restaurant since the very beginning(College Ave) and it is hands down my favorite place to eat. I could eat your food all day everyday. I have converted countless “picky eaters” by bringing them to your establishment. The staff is friendly and I always feel at home. I love this restaurant and I hope you’re open forever! Mum mums is wicked tasty too!!!!
